HRB Sport across the weekend

After a dramatic weekend of Cup action with mixed success last time out HRB Sport will be on air both Saturday and Sunday to report all the key events as our teams focus on their league campaigns. Saturday Sport will contain its regular mix of informative, entertaining coverage across the local sporting spectrum and beyond throughout the afternoon; then after Barnet’s match is concluded 24 hours later we will have a full round up of the weekend stories starting at 7pm on Sunday.
The FA Cup Second Round Draw set up a real prospect of further advance for Bristol Rovers or Barnet; the winner of their first round replay on Tuesday will entertain Stockport County, now languishing in National League North.
Wingate & Finchley’s path to the FA Trophy proper was paved with another tough away tie at Chippenham Town of National League South. The match takes place next Saturday November 24th. The team kept up their impressive away form when Charlie Cole scored what proved to be the winner just before the interval at Brightlingsea Regent.
Hendon bounced back from their disappointing FA Trophy exit by thrashing Staines Town 5-1. Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick scored a hat-trick including two spectacular overhead kicks, and Connor Calcutt the other two. The Greens lie 4th, with games in hand on the teams above.
Hadley’s successful season continued when they moved into the top three thanks to a 1-0 win at Harpenden. Edward Clarke was the goal hero.
