All action weekend in store for HRB Sport

An action packed December for HRB Sport continues with another double header weekend. Saturday Sport features commentary from the Bees match at Ebbsfleet and all our teams goal action, then we round up the weekend news with a comprehensive review of local sport and beyond on Sunday.
After Dan Sparkes early goal against Stockport County sent Barnet into the FA Cup 3rd Round, the draw 24 hours later pitted the team with Championship high fliers Sheffield United. The game has been scheduled as a 2pm kick off on Sunday January 6th.
Saracens capitalised on Exeter´s slip up at Harlequins beating Wasps 29-6 to take top spot in the Gallager Premiership. Jamie George and sub Nick Isiekwe scored tries with Alex Lokowski kicking 19 points against his former club.
Boreham Wood had Cup success in midweek, thumping St Margaretsbury in the Herts Senior Cup. Connor Smith, Brad Ash and Sorba Thomas scored their first competitive goals for the club, with Tom Champion and Gozie Ogwu completing the 5-1 rout.
WIngate & Finchely had a thrilling encounter with Bowers & Pitsea in the Velocity Trophy winning 5-4 on penalties after the 90 minutes ended 3-3. Tim Monsheju had given the Blues the lead and David Manu´s debut goals had appeared to seal the tie until the visitors scored twice in the final 3 minutes. However all 5 penalty takers kept their nerve, and with the last Bowers spot kick going wide, the team celebrated a final 16 berth.
The team have also received the monthly league accolade following their excellent victory in the FA Trophy against Chippenham and have said goodbye to Marc Weatherstone. The club´s record appearance holder has joined Enfield Town.
Hendon and Potters Bar gave several newcomers an outing in a friendly which resulted in a 3-1 victory for the Greens. Shaun Lucien and Chayce Grant were among the Hendon scorers with Sandro Costa getting the Scholars consolation.
Edgware secured a 3-0 victory against Colney Heath, a Tyriq Hunte double and Ryan Carruthers strike in the first 18 minutes lifting the team into the top half.
