Saturday Roundup

National League

BARNET 0 Sutton United 1

The Bees made a disappointing return to league action against a well organised Sutton line-up. In a game of few chances James Dobson’s 36th minute free kick curled into the top right corner awarded after David Tutonda brought down Gime Toure proved the difference between the teams. Shaq Coulthirst and Wes Fonguck had Barnet’s best chances. Coulthirst putting his effort into the side netting after beating goalkeeper Ross Worner, Fonguck producing the best from the visiting keeper who pushed his goal bound effort over the bar. A frustrating afternoon also saw Simeone Akinola leave the field in tears after sustaining what looked a serious injury after coming on at half time.

Worthing 1 POTTERS BAR TOWN 1

The Scholars concede another last minute goal to put a dampener on what had otherwise been an excellent away performance. Sean Bonnet-Johnson gave Potters Bar an 11th minute lead which looked to have secured a second away win in a week before Jolene Jones snatched a point for the home side with time almost up.
