A last minute strike from Moors Kyle Storer robbed 10 man Barnet of a memorable away win against the league leaders. Wes Fonguck and Shaq Coulthirst put the visitors into a two goal lead before Ashley Charles was red carded. Moors then fought back through Storer and Nathan Blissett to earn a point.

Hendon recorded their first win in 14 games despite having Luke Tingay red carded. A Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick penalty four minutes before the break and a 70th minute goal by Connor Calcutt were enough to give the Greens the points.

An amazing comeback saw The Blues score twice in injury time to earn a valuable point in their fight against relegation. When late goals by Ian Draycott from the penalty spot and Adam Yusuff put Folkestone 2-0 Up it looked as if there was no way back for Dave Norman’s team. Wingate though had other ideas with last minute goals from Anthony Mendy and Alieu Njie stunned their hosts.

With a Wembley date still on the cards for Barnet following Tuesday night’s victory in the FA Trophy, the route planner to the famous Arch includes a 460 mile round trip to Wesham, Lancashire. All 3 goals in the replay came within the first 20 minutes, Shaq Coulthirst scoring twice for the Bees, the second directly following Carshalton’s equaliser through Jacob Mendy.
Darren Currie’s team face their toughest challenge yet, distance aside, with a visit to their National League rivals AFC Fylde next Saturday.
The team must now focus on avoiding being drawn into the relegation places as they begin an intensive period of matches. From now until early April the Bees play twice a week, beginning with today’s visit to league leaders Solihull Moors.
To provide the club with the impetus needed in league and Trophy, Darren Currie’s coaching team has been strengthened by the appointment of Junior Lewis as Assistant Head Coach and Dan Senda as First Team Coach. Luke Swindlehurst, currently London Bees Head Coach steps into Senda’s previous role with the Under 18s.
League points are vital for all our clubs this weekend with the majority in the same predicament, while Hadley chase their first South Midlands Premier title.
Wingate & Finchley’s quest to avoid the drop suffered a setback on Wednesday when Tonbridge Angels took all 3 points at the Maurice Rebak Stadium. Hope of a rare win was raised when Reece Beckles-Richards opened the scoring on 17 minutes, however Joe Turner converted a penalty to equalise with 20 minutes remaining and Jared Small scored the winner shortly before the final whistle. The Blues are 3 points from safety but have a game in hand.
Hadley’s ground breaking season saw a dual celebration this week. Victory in the Herts Charity Shield quarter final on Tuesday against Welwyn Garden City with sub Ibrahim Camara scoring the only goal then 24 hours later the team’s tenure as league leaders was extended when second placed Biggleswade FC lost at Baldock.
Saracens have a chance to return to the top of the Premiership. Gloucester’s victory at Kingsholm over league leaders Exeter means the Men in Black can replace the west country side with a 20 point victory margin containing at least 4 tries.
